The Body Politic: Book II of the Tribal Wars by Stella Atrium

Brianna Miller leaves Paris for Dolvia with ideas for bringing the tribes into unity. Meanwhile, the tribal conflicts have escalated. Self immolation is the means of protesting the local despot. As tensions rise, the reporter assigned to cover the conflict is chasing skirts at Stargate Junction.

The women who raised Brianna are choosing to go one-by-one to the governor’s mansion for death-by-fire. The deaths are described on the news networks as tribal women losing hope rather than a righteous means of protest.

Brianna tries to convince her mentor Kecouroo of better routes to open businesses and gain voice among warriors, but Kecouroo prefers the old ways. Brianna turns to Dulcinea el Uburu who is more open to try new enterprises.
