When a college student is murdered, and Laura is assigned to the case she notices some disturbing similarities to the attack that nearly took her life. Meanwhile, in her personal life, the normally commitment-phobic detective meets beautiful real estate agent Sharon. As they two get to know each other, Laura begins to entertain life with love in it.
After a second murder is discovered, Laura comes to believe that there is a connection to her past. Now, to catch a killer she must face the trauma of her past.
