Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.

I\’m a retired banker and have been writing for over ten years. I have written ten books. I live in Tallahassee, Florida with my wife of 55 years. We enjoy gardening and coffee on the porch with our dog.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?

Tagalong was inspired by my desire to write a shorter book than my others about a controversial subject, kidnapping of a minor. I wanted to focus on the crime not all the side stuff.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?

No, but I like to write mostly in the mornings after coffee. I get my inspirations from morning drives in the country.

What authors, or books have influenced you?

JD Robb, Stuart Woods and Craig Johnson and his Longmire series.

What are you working on now?

The sixth book in my JD Pickens mysteries titled, The Bridge, about the relationship between Pickens and his daughter.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

Keep writing even when you feel you have nothing to say. Just write the right words and inspiration will come.

Write don\’t think about it.
