Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.

After growing up in inner city working class Detroit, I went on to become a professional stage actor and then went to Hollywood to appear in shows like \”Rockford Files,\” \”St. Elsewhere,\” and Quincy.\” Then after obtaining my PhD in Philosophy and Psychology I started working with my wife Judith Sherven, PhD doign Executive Coaching for tech companies like LinkedIn, Unity Technologies, Credit Karma, Coinbase, Qualtrics, etc. And then most recently I\’ve begun writing novels including \”Worship of Hollow Gods\” which is the first in my Leaving Home Trilogy.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?

My latest book is title \”When Angels Die\” – which is the 3rd book in my Leaving Home Trilogy — which takes the lead character through his final experiences that allow him to finally leave home so that he can fully own his true and successful life! This was inspired by the coaching work I do with my wife where \”Overcoming the Fear of Being Fabulous\” is our guiding light developed by us many years ago.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?

I never took a typing class so my typing isn\’t very good – so very often when I\’ve got a solid train of thought going I speak it into Dragon Naturally Speaking.

What authors, or books have influenced you?

I love reading non-fiction, and rarely find a fiction writer that I love — so actually – I\’d say none.

What are you working on now?

My fourth novel is a reincarnational romance! A couple who were tortured during the Inquisition in 1505, return and meet again in 2005. Because they need to resolve several issues, they meet with a master hypnotist to help them return to 1505 and what a shock to both of them!

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?

My website – which has all of my books plus their awards and reviews (plus fun photos) is

Do you have any advice for new authors?

Keep writing! And geta friend to read and edit!

What is the best advice you have ever heard?

Write freely! Edit mercilessly!

What are you reading now?

Hemingway\’s \”Old Man in the Sea\”

What’s next for you as a writer?

Turning my film script titled \”Providence\” into a novel.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?

\”Passion of the Western Mind\” by Richard Tarnas, \”Reinchantment of the World\” by Morris Berman, and \”Briefing for a Descent into Hell\” by Doris Lessing
