Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.

was born in Indonesia, and grew up in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

I conceived my first middle-grade fantasy novel, Sophia Freeman and the Mysterious Fountain, during a trip to Gabriola Island, British Columbia in the summer of 2013. Then I took my work and settled in a small town of Enderby, where it’s peaceful and quiet. 4 years later, the story is complete. While book 1, 2 and 3 are being shared with the world, I am writing and illustrating book 4 of the Sophia Freeman series.

I am married to Sarah, my original fan and longtime love, in 2016. We live in Enderby with our pack dogs and school of fish!

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?

SOPHIA FREEMAN AND THE ERA OF DARKNESS is my latest book, which was published this year. It\’s the third instalment of the Sophia Freeman series. The story is filled with life lessons to empower kids from chasing after their dreams to having great respect for nature.

 

Do you have any unusual writing habits?

Don\’t think I have any unusual writing habits. Just write whenever I can and wherever I can!

 

What are you working on now?

I am writing and illustrating book 4 out of 5 of the Sophia Freeman series!
